All seniors will need to see us create their files and personal plans for after high school. In addition, we will see seniors before school and after school for appointments and lunches to answer questions and help students execute their plans. All students should be working on their Schoolinks account to stay informed of schoolwide events and planning for their post-graduation plans.
Junior classroom visits begin in the Spring- dates TBT. We will start to prepare students for life after high school. The focus is on ACT/SAT/ASVAB test preparation, career exploration, and related college research. Junior Parent Night takes place in the spring.
Freshman and Sophomore class presentations will take place from November through May. Topics include high school success, such as goal-setting and organizational skills, self-discovery, Schoolinks and career exploration.
College Rep Visits take place at the SSC in the fall and are for Juniors and Seniors. Students and parents will be notified of the colleges/dates/times via the Student Success Center Band App and the SHS website. Students will need to register on Schoolinks --> under the School events tab and a pass from their teacher to participate.
