Students who have successfully completed two years of German studies at Riverview High School will have the opportunity in their 3rd year of German to apply for the national German Honor Society for high school students. We meet once per month to plan and complete activities, such as food drives, clothing drives, club shirt design, gingerbread house donations, a homecoming float, Christmas cards for nursing homes in Germany, publicity mailers, student and parent information night, and they help younger students practice for the state competition. There are many officer positions for reliable members to fill each year. Seniors with excellent attendance and participation earn a beautiful red, black and gold honor cord to wear at their senior graduation.
